While we wait for that damned CD to be released, how about the "Blue Note Moment?"
In recognition of the 70th anniversary of Blue Note records the last issue of Downbeat asked various jazz artists when they had a "Blue Note Moment" or heard a BN recording that was particularly revelatory.
Mine was Wayne Shorter's Speak No Evil
What does this have to do with RTF? Corea's "Now He Sings Now He Sobs" is a classic BN recording.
What's yours? |

Hearing Now He Sings, Now He Sobs was a Blue Note moment for me, no doubt about it. Herbie's Empyrean Isles too. _________________ Carl
